If time should pass too quickly

How oft’ it seems to fly

I hope you can forgive me

If we should see this journey end

Before I’ve loved you well enough

Dare I even dream

As you deserve

And so I say this prayer

Each night before I sleep

I ask for a forever

Perhaps a little longer

By then I think I’ll get it right
