It stands at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers in Wichita, Kansas, adjacent to the Mid-America All-Indian Center. You walk a bridge over the river to the landmark. (If you walk out the back of the hotel and turn right, just follow the river until you get to it. Less than 1 mi away.)

The
Kansas African American Museum “This is an amazing place to learn about black history and experience a historical site all at once. My elementary and middle school children loved it. They never learned anything like this in school. It was so empowering and educational. Brooke and Denise were wonderful… It is a place every school-aged child should visit on a field trip to learn about not only black history, but the history of Wichita and the state of Kansas.” Written by a Wichita Teacher.
Mid-American
All-Indian Museum "Museum dedicated to educating people about and preserving the culture of the American Indian." Small but informative. Located by the Keeper of the Plains.
Dead
